It was said on another forum it's from the 1800's . Just looking to confirm that and get any info I can on it. Been looking but have not found that design yet.
Hi; It is from 1820 or older. The pattern is a typical Floral pattern style. I believe it is more for ornate purposes than military in nature this I would say 1790 - 1820. It is a one piece button as noted by the single shank on the back. 2 piece buttons came to be around 1820 rendering the one piece button obsolete. After 1820 it becomes a bit harder to date ok.
