Was walking the dog in the woods and came across this old tank on top of a hill. There are four old concrete anchors on the ground nearby that have square holes in the top. In the center of them is a pipe sticking up out of the ground. About 20 feet away is a concrete foundation about 6 inches high. The concrete is that old kind made with a lot of pebbles and rocks. There are anchor bolts sticking out of the foundation that have square nuts on them. The foundation is about 30' x 15' and is divided about one 3rd of the way. In the bigger part there is a square that I am guessing was the fireplace or a chimney for a stove or a drain. Any thoughts on what it could have been? About 50 yards from the tank is whats left of a stone foundation home with the bottom half of a stone chimney. There is a bunch of old rusty metal cans and threaded lid glass jars and bottles laying around everywhere. You can also make out a very old, overgrown road or driveway with more rusty cans and glass littered about. Any ideas?
This place was a good 30 minute brisk walk (dog pulling me) from where I parked my car. The next time I go back I will get some more pictures.
