Hello there,

I just found this ring outside and I realize odds are that it is crap, but it looks strange for crap rings and is also really heavy... Plus it was found near constructions where they are digging for a foundation (in a place that has been inhabited mostly for the past ~1000 years. So any thoughts?

- tried to scratch the screen of a halogen light bulb with the stones, it's did scratch the surface, but dunno if that is any info.

Here are some pics, thanks in advance.

That is a very, very unusual ring. Take it to a jeweler or an antique shop to see what they say about it. I don't believe it's a 'junk' ring....it's some different type of ring.

Almost all diamond rings are gold and this ring is just gold plated. The chances of them being diamond are close to 0. Based on what I see in the photo those stones look like rhinestones, not diamonds. A diamond would be put in a ring differently, and would be more secure. Sorry about it, maybe next time it will be real.

:icon_thumleft: Very interesting ring! :icon_thumright: Definitely have a jeweler check it out and let us know the results! :cat: Andi

I like that ring. It has character!

Welcome aboard Vikingbeer! Regardless it is a neat ring! I like it!

That is one really cool honker of a ring, nice find!

Dont look like gold or silver i bet its copper...

It appears to be silver plated copper. The stones look like they have a foil backing and if so it would make them glass or plastic. If they were real the setting would have an open back. It looks like you have an older piece of costume jewelry. Interesting and cool.

Thanks everyone, so I'll try to find a jeweler that sell older stuff just for historical purposes (the site of the digging is an old part of a 'famous' area in my city, bars, nightclubs, hotels in the past...
