So i went out to local parks area found this weird round thing. seems to go maybe on the end of something, its heavy like maybe iron ? possible some other metal...

found a RING tooo - altough not real gold, looks like it had some gold plating or paint or something.. its light looks like a childs ring, possible cooper, fake diamonds, but hey its my first ring

also pulled about 10 old style pull tabs, 3 bottle caps and 2 newer style pull tabs.

1965 quarter, 3 mangles pennies (cant tell date), 1972 penny, 1978 penny

and a remington .22 bullet.

I searched for about 2 hours. near some playground and bbq equipment.

dug about 6 inchs to get the quarter though.. he was deep..

You will always remember that first groovy ring!
A gold one is just around the corner :headbang:

first look i was like is that a land mine? :o i think its a cap to a fence post. willy

Just a guess, but from the 4 attachment points it makes me think it might possibly be from a old square type of clothes line...Sorry but I can't post the picture I cropped that shows something similar for some reason,so..maybe?? but again..just a guess.
Good Luck,
Scott

could also be a cap to an outdoor light

Part of a light. The hole is where the pull cord would be. Just my guess.

I think thats it don, thanks for the links. Its heavy like Iron , Cast Iron maybe, there is a spot here the hook attachment thing appears tio have been but has since broken off.

So this is from an early model, ford then. sweet lil find.

Looks like part of lamp. The top that holds a glass shade.

 That's right!... It's an old engine part (timing cap) from days long gone. :read2:
