Tesoro Dog,

I'll get to posting my piece soon. My memory card filled up, and I'm burning cds. . . .

Can you provide any other interpretation, especially with marks?

Thanks,

OK. Here's what I found. Actually pretty cool. But, I'm disappointed that it's painted brown. That probably makes it modern.

What is with the non-rock turtle mound. Within 100 yards of here, there are turtles the size of houses.

It's ironic. I climbed a mountain in search of stuff, but this was ground level.

Gorgias

I guess I got a little excited watching Jesse James last night. . .

Very interesting indeed. The mound from a distance has an aspect of a face or owl to me and also a fellow pointing left. . What is the nature of the substance the mound rocks are laying on?

I guess closer up the one thing I would consider is camp ground off to the left.
I guess the figure on top could be considered a turtle..but it also looks like a reclining man to me to. There might be a smaller hoyo in the head of that figure..would venture it gives you a view of the left yellow arrowed monument.

Below that left yellow arrowed monument the orange arrow points to a notch.

What an odd thing you have found..and how neat. Can you make out if the man in it is asian?

Well done Gorgias. You found something...... and something great at that. What is that vessel? Could it be an urn used to hold ashes or remains from one deceased? In the pic with the chap resting on a funerary pile (my take) I see a rock heart, down right hand side. And, the large rock in front of your 'Christs Peace' sign, resembles either a flipper (or paw) could be connected to your turtle. Pointer indicating direction to go.

Best of luck with this one, I think it could be your dream come true.

Regards
feather

Solid, not a vessel. I'm not even sure it's not construction garbage or realtively new Native American replica, as it looks like plaster but is heavier. The area where I got it is garbage strewn, to the point where if you look closely, that turtle has a pair of sunglasses left on it.

What the first picture shows is a fantastic ground hoyo or omega hoyo.
This when looked through will show you your omega site.
the signs will get smaller and more concealed but they will for the most part be localised.
all will be in a smaller contained area.

Don't get too excited yet, you may find an empty hole.

:sign10: I'm sorry, Old Dog. There's just something about that statement that's funnier'n H---. :laughing7:

Sorry,
I couldn't help it.
Yep, It does sound a bit funny ...
Til it happens to you.

Then humor jumps right out the window.

All you can do is congratulate the guy who came in before you ...
and go on.

(but yes, I see your point)

Sometimes my mind takes a sharp turn into the outfield and this was one of those times. ;D When I read that one line, the first thing that popped into mind was not treasure..............as such.

Yes, That occured to me when I went back and read it as well.

You do realize that only old dogs with shortstacks will understand that comment? :laughing9: :laughing9:

At the same site, the sun hit another hoyo.

After a few twists and turns, it led me to a vault. Empty.

Old Dog warned me that my proximity to Santa Fe means a lot of the King's caches would be cleaned out. . .

Don't get too excited yet, you may find an empty hole.

Question: Is the small Hoya in the hoya.jpg significant? I was looking through and it looks like (might be the camera angles) it is actually viewing another "pile" of rocks. Or am I completely off on this..... Just wondering/trying to learn....

I've heard that, especially when it comes to open mouths. But, once you are at monstrosity.jpg, it's very hard to miss the other pile of rocks.

I sort of work by feel. By no means have I decoded any site, although my tracking skills have vastly improved, even when I'm not working on them. But, keep in mind, I've only found a piece of construction garbage, probably 20th century.

Gorgias

As a beginner I cant help much But there seems to be a face between the hoya and upright rock that says either look up and right or look around. The top rock of the hoya seems to have a pointer on one end and why did they place the small rock on the left? The large rock on the right seems significant, But I can only guess. Great pictures. Thanks ! Jim
