Only thing I can find is that they (Stronghold) made jeans about 1894... but there are only a few vague references.

Found today at a 1930's burned down pub site. A snap off a jacket or something.

I just found one of these along a row of eucalyptus trees in Orcutt CA. This company was formed in 1895 in Los Angeles and a reproduction company is in business now. see http://www.thestronghold.com
