redcardhack and i finally pumped out 4 feet of water in the old cellar hole today and i found this broach..
the house dates back to mid 1800's.
any help would be appreciated. it says sterling on the back.
so if one of you fellow treasure hunters can help a brother out figuring out when this was made i would be a happy ohiowhiteguy..
the stone in the center has a greenish tint..aquamarine?
happy hunting and thanks for looking...
the pin on the back looks like copper plated...

Hey OWG, after a little more research I have discovered that it was not a cellar hole but a crypt, nice find though!! RCH

It looks like a piece of Hobé. Any other marks on it? It's a wartime piece, circa 1940's.

Nice find Ohioguy! I'm guessing that the center stone is crystal, but it might be a zircon as well. If you have a gem tester, maybe double-check. Congrats! :)
