Found this evening

Had a little luck today. Asked some experts about it who said it was probably a blank which ended up being a tool because they couldn't thin it. I still like it.

Looks like it might be an adz. It might
have been hafted along the sides before
it comes back in towards the angled edge
or bit end.

I do notice small notches on each side directly across from each other at the spot you mentioned so it was used hafted, thanks for the info.
