Found this in a small field on the side of the road

I've ridden by this small field now for a month. Because the grass was thigh high and I HATE snakes and ticks I did not venture out in it. On Friday I rode by and saw it had been mowed so in I went. Found a couple dollars in modern coins and this 1939D merc. It cleaned up beautifully just too sorry to take a photo of it cleaned.

I have my eye set on a few tall fields too. Last time I went to this farm, I scored an 1831 LC and a neat old reins guide. The owner is trying to sell it, so he is spending as little as possible. I just wish he would cut and bale the 5 ft grass, lol.
