Found this old button in my yard today, need some help with identifying.Found here in Southern Indiana.

I’m hoping I can get some identification on this, I’ve found so many cool things over time in my small backyard, I just haven’t found anything I could put some kind of time period on. Adding the other button I’ve found before I still haven’t been able to identify. How should I clean this one from today without damaging it. Thanks for any response or help!

The first one looks like a Crown & Thistle Golf Button.

Yep. It's upside down in the first picture. The design is borrowed from the Royal Blackheath Club buttons... arguably the cradle of golf in England.
