Found This Political Button in a 1940's Bottle Dump. Need Help IDing it.

Digging at one of my 1940's bottle dumps today and spotted a pin-back button. It's very toasted, but I do see "Nov" on it, which probably makes it a political button. I also think I see the word "helper" on it as well. Could be from the 1940's, but could also be much older. You never know at old dump sites. Any guesses would be appreciated.

I think the top probably reads “A.F. of L.”
