Found this today

[Trescher]

I can't tell what it is.
It is about 1/4" in length, width and height.
The rounded top (or bottom) has a triangle with a V in the middle or it. (the picture doesn't show that very well.)
I don't think that it is a bullet casing or a button.
Could it be decoration from a purse or jacket?

from what I can tell it looks like a round from a starter pistol, just enough powder in it to make a bang.

In the construction world of tools, there is what is called a Hilti or Ramset. It's a pistol type device that uses .22 cal. size "charges" to shoot special nails into cement or steel. It could even be one of those.
