Found this while doing a porch restoration today under the original flooring. Gold?

[Mud Hut]

I have done nothing but wash it off. It is a necklace of some sort made from what looks like small gold coins.
I don't recognize the coins, but they are quite small, not much bigger than a thumbtack head.
All seem to be worn just a little differently.

Any Ideas?
