Went hunting today on a lot where they tore down an old house. I have been hunting it for the last three days. In 40+ years of detecting, I have never had days like these. So far I have found four silver dollars from 1921 to 1976. I have also found several other silver Quarters and Dimes. There are so many targets (both good and bad) it is difficult hunting. Every time I go I find something I had missed before. Here are the dollars I have found. These are the FIRST silver dollars I have ever found and I am EXCITED !!!:occasion14:

Congrats on the dollars still on my list

Very cool, congrats on your success and I know you will find more, good for you!

WOW! I love the large silver finds, congratulations! :notworthy:

GL & HH

The first one must have been right on top. Nice coins

Nice finds. Is the Ike a 40%er or clad?

Wow! That would be amazing. You have certainly put in the time so enjoy the spoils of all that effort🤑

BEAUTIFUL DOLLARS .

Great finds. I would think that it would be hard to lose single dollars coins. Good hunting and good luck.

Now that hunt will be in your dreams for quite some time . What if any mint marks are on those dollars?

dang! when are we leaving on the next hunt? lol. Congrats!!!!!!

hey, i was joking about the next hunt, but i just noticed you are in Portsmouth, so when are we leaving on the next hunt? I am in Hampton. nice to meet a fellow detector enthusiast from the area. cheers!

Sounds like a great time at a great site. One question...is there really such a thing as a "bad" target when you have pulled those beauties out?

My o my....fantastic!
The condition of the coins lead me to believe they were stashed in the home, forgotten about, then got mixed up and lost in the debris. No telling what may have gotten hauled off...but you got yourself a great spot!
I've been hitting a recent tear down of a 1914 hose, their specialty was clad dimes for some reason.

When it rains it pours. I've never found a dollar coin either, so I hope for luck like yours, but just not 49 yrs. lol

Is that 1976 clad or silver?

Congrats
