You guys are missing the point. All I'm saying is, don't be such a sellout. Let's take Jerry Seinfeld for example. He left his show at the HEIGHT of it's success. They offered him gazillions of dollars to come back, but, he turned them down flat. That shows class. He wanted to go out on top. Sure, he still walked away with roughly $200,000,000, but, he did it using his natural ability - comedy.
He didn't then go out and try to become a football player, jazz singer, lion tamer or any of the other moronic things all of these other "personalities" do. He certainly COULD HAVE, but, he didn't. And yes, he still makes a boatload of money. However, it's doing what he's naturally gifted at.
He's not "robbing" little kids for fifty bucks doing autograph signings, pitching male enhancement pills or being a shill for swamp land in Florida. He's also not embarrassing or degrading himself.
BTW, I'm certainly not saying that one shouldn't pursue what they love and have a passion for. However, when you're doing something JUST for the bottom line, your credibility goes out the window IMHO.
Do I have a problem with Bradshaw and Johnson doing play-by-play? No. It's connected to the sport they excelled at for years. They have know-how, expertise. They bring something to the table. Let them make fifty million a month in that case. Just when these guys start selling out and slapping their names on everything do they lose all respect from me whatsoever. Think George Forman
I've said my piece. Now, go West young man
