France WWII Medal

This medal was brought back from Germany at the end of WWII with a bunch of Nazi stuff. Any help in ID it will be greatly appreciated.

All I can find is that Strasbourg wanted to become its' own country after wwI, and that france had to retake the city which is close to the German border.
