French Coin ??

Hunted a park by the house today, found some kind of coin. I will describe it because I cant get a good enough picture, it is the size of a dime on the front it has repvbliqve francaise next to that in small letters it says morlon. On the back it says liberte egalite fraternite, 50 centimes 1941. Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of coin this is. Other than that 1 wheat penny and a nickle and about 2 hundred pull tabs.
