Fresh Dirt

Between work and the heat just haven't been doing much hunting until last evening saw they made small cut in some woods we had hunted before with some success. It was 7:00PM by the time I got back from retrieving the AT Max and changing into dirt ware hunted for about a 1 1/2 hours there was a lot of trash but managed to pull out a few round balls, one mini, detonated artillery fuse (the second one found in this area),modern bullets and a lead disc that measured about 2 7/8" in diameter about 1/4" thick and heavy I think way to heavy to be backing to a plate?? well big old mosquitoes and darkness ran me off. Can't wait till more dirt is moved.

My hunting partner yesterday had showed me two round balls and junk stuff in his bag but called me this morning said he was cleaning up his goods and found this surprise it's brass and has one bend over clasp and the other side looks like it was broken off. Any ideas what this could be??
