I love to squeeze some silver from the parks. I went to a park that I knew there had to be some oldies, but I had never found any. This time I was really concentrating on getting some. At first I found some trash but quickly I had a 56' wheat back in the bag and that got me thinking about getting silver. Several trash targets and a few modern coins later I had the 35' wheat back.
More hunting more trash and then I got a pretty good signal. It was broken a bit but I thought I pinpointed it well. But not so much
. I cut the plug and realized that the signal was in the corner but it wasn't sounding so good. Turns out it was a long rusty wire. I replaced the plug and rescanned the hole, now the signal was better but off from the original plug by about 2 inches. I had to ponder how to reopen the hole without making a mess. I decided to just cut the plug into a longer rectangle and be careful. Down about 4-5 inches was my 44' merc dime. Decided to call it a day cause dinner at home was getting done.
Any day that involves a little old silver is a great day.
