Cool finds I need to hit the river here myself . Id be very happy with those finds...

I've tried water hunting recently a couple of times, first time in perhaps many years. It is NOT easy, but I really want to do more.

Getting ready to head up your way for 4-5 days, leaving this Sunday if the plan holds together. Usually do well up there.

In time it will become second nature.

The penny is actually pretty toasted, very rough and worn. The buff isn't too bad. Most of the old coins I recover from the water are pretty rough, the years of slow sand blasting taking its toll. But I do get quite a few old coins out there.
