From a Wreck Site

From a Spanish Shipwreck Site from the late 1600's. I am thinking a window clasp or something off the firing mechanism of a flint lock type weapon

If it was from a ship wreck ,the boat was on fire.I dont think the ball press type latch was used in the 1600s..But it could be a latch from a boats window,newer style....Relicdude
