I pulled out a box to check some ore samples with my new detector. I took a picture of some stuff I collected years ago. All from the Owens Valley area. Look close at the sea shell. I can take more pictures if any one wants a closer look.

Looks like you got some goodies there. Nice obsidian pieces and pottery, but those old railroad tie date nails are really cool. :icon_thumleft:
 
Are you thinking the shell was drilled? Looks like it may have bee on my small phone screen.

I found it on accident only one piece was exposed I didn't have a screen or I might have more of it. It is too bad its broken. I have a theory shells like that were traded for obsidian tools. The pottery is also not from where I found it.
