From England to Ottawa

Hello, just moved to Ottawa from the UK and I brought my Minelab. Would be very interested in meeting a group or someone who knows detecting in Canada. I am living downtown and have seen some good sites from travels to and from Renfrew, although i dont know how you dig in pasture with the ground so dry! My main experience is on beaches, there must be a huge potential for shallow water detecting here as there are no tides. Anyway, look forward to hearing from you,
