So when I bought my Tesoro Tejon, I also bought a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV, in case my son or any friends wanted to come along.
It arrived today, so I figured I would test it out in my back yard. My house was built in the 1870's and is a treasure trove of junk so far, but I'm still digging, as it's good practice and fun.
I had already air tested the machine and set Disc to remove iron, which the Tejon loved on my first night with it, a few days ago. (live and learn)
I knew from my air tests, I could get about 5 to 6" on coins, with the Tracker. Sweeping around an area just off my deck, about a foot away from where I had dug up a 4 folded license plate, I started getting a small hit.
I zeroed it out and cut a wedge. After getting down to about 7", I found what was causing it (but not before my dog picked up the chunk of sod from my license plate dig and proceeded to shake the dirt out of it, all over me. My buddy was laughing his ass off...it was pretty funny)
Anyway, below is what I found (after some cleanup). Some sort of copper pendant. The clip was still there but the pin was long gone. No idea of the vintage but I thought it was a pretty neat piece, considering all of the nails I've dug up so far.

On a side note, for the money, that little Tracker isn't too bad (picked it up for 65.00 off e-bay)
Cheers!
