Yesterday I got a break and got out swinging the CZ 21 for 4.5 hours on campus. It was in the mid 30s, it was spitting snow and the wind was gusting to around 25 mph so the conditions were about the same as any other hunt this month, lousy! But I’m a diehard so I went at it. Again I had a nice variety of finds from this site. 79 coins with a face value of $6.63, an old hand forged horseshoe, more evidence of the old farm the college is built on, a New York City transit token (looks like it was one used from 1995-2003), a hedgehog from an earring, a junky kiddy ring, a Fitbit one, 2 hot wheels cars, a Tootsietoy Roadster #2 (from the 1970s I think) a 1961 nickel that has been ground down so it is very thin, and a nice silver Claddagh ring. Of course there was the usual trash and junk, but that’s hard to avoid if you want to get all the good stuff.

You can see where the nickel was ground down and here it is compared to a normal nickel.

The Claddagh ring is different, it separates into 3 parts. I looked it up and it is called a stacked ring. That’s a first for me.

Another good hunt. One nice silver, a decent amount of clad, and some things that help keep the hunt interesting and keep you searching for more. We are expecting snow and ice for the next 2 days so it’s a good thing I am leaving for Florida for a family visit soon.

Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.

Nice ring and other finds. Congrats and continued success.

Looks like a nice hunt. I like that ring and the Tootsie Toy.

Thanks for sharing that was well worth some cold fingers. Good job. Tommy

Great hunt. Congratulations.

Great find, and great pics, TNT...Yes that stacked ring is sweet! I found one similar in my first or second year of detecting, but they were connected and soldered, I'll to post a pic if it if I can find it. But congrats! A bunch of great finds, you definitely worked for them..Ddf.

Congrats on your finds. If I remember correctly the linked ring style is originally from India.
