Ft.Leavenworth hunting areas

My uncle lives in Ft.Leavenworth and im planning a trip there in a few weeks. Ive never been there so i dont know where to hunt. I know its got to be target rich environment, i just dont know where to start aside from the obvious like parks and schools. are permits needed to hunt in certain areas? Any ideas would be be a great help.

On the post itself, I am not sure of the military rules, I have hunted many military bases when I was active. Usually the MPs do not know the rules

I'd guess the city parks would be good. Also the small towns around Leavenworth.

Gold coins have been found in the river park area. I'm giving it a shot this week. Winters about to give up here. I'm in KCK. Good luck
