Hi Guys and Gals,

Went out for 2 hours today to a place where an house used to be, was knocked down due to ground movement. The grass was a bit long making it difficult to detect, but did manage to find a cars fuel pump, a 1982 1c piece (south african) and a piece of melted slag of some sort.... other than that, just lots of rubbish.
I did get a phone call from the wife while swinging, the police were at my house wanting to know why my car was standing on the side of the road. The wife told them told them I was metal detecting, but they wanted to speak with me,,, the phone call. I guess at least they made themselves useful for today

I think the police were just making sure you had not been kidnapped or carjacked. nice to know they were actually doing their job instead of ignoring it.

Thanks guys... In south africa it is good news when the police do their jobs  most of the time it is the opposite. But anyway, I am gratefull to them today. :coffee2: unless they were actually looking for their fuel pump ???

God bless
Peter

Thanks guys,

Even though I did not find much, it was still great to get out for some fresh air.
