Fun 2-day quick hunt

Got out with a small group with a quick permission on a construction site. Yielded tons of Spencer bullets and casings, couple of eagle buttons, one Eagle 'I' cuff button, and a strange brass object. Thoughts on what it could be? Always fun digging bullets. Did get two intact Spencer rounds, one dug by me. And finds going to a local display. GL and HH!

Brass item is 3.75"L, 0.75"W opening, dimple on rounded end. Hole about 1" below rim.
