My wife and I like to get in a 2 or 3 mile walk each day and today, we went out to a favorite place to enjoy the 64 degree weather. We came upon a slight depression in the earth and, after looking at a 1922 map of the are (thanks to Maprika) we discovered that we were essentially on top of a house that has long been torn down.
We did a bit of probing and I hit a familiar glass sound. A quick dig came up with a brown glass half-gallon Clorox bottle with what looks like a Bakelite cap. I have not washed it but, when I do, I'll post pics so y'all can help me get to an age for the bottle.
Also found a few old cans, one of which was intact. Did not take that one as I wasn't prepared to transport what was sure to become a leaky situation.
