My wife and I like to get in a 2 or 3 mile walk each day and today, we went out to a favorite place to enjoy the 64 degree weather. We came upon a slight depression in the earth and, after looking at a 1922 map of the are (thanks to Maprika) we discovered that we were essentially on top of a house that has long been torn down.

We did a bit of probing and I hit a familiar glass sound. A quick dig came up with a brown glass half-gallon Clorox bottle with what looks like a Bakelite cap. I have not washed it but, when I do, I'll post pics so y'all can help me get to an age for the bottle.

Also found a few old cans, one of which was intact. Did not take that one as I wasn't prepared to transport what was sure to become a leaky situation.

Get back there and dig that pit out!!! Omg I'm going out of my mind wondering about all the glass treasures! I've heard lots about the Maprika thing, as A2coins Tommy is trying to download it. Thx for sharing, waiting patiently for those bottle posts! Ddf.

Here's the picture of the Clorox jug I found. It is a 1/2 gallon jug and has a very tiny "57" on the neck.
