I hunted a new permission today where a 1920's era house sits. After speaking for awhile with the former owner's son about where his family usually gathered, I started detecting. I concentrated around where a large tree once stood that the family enjoyed lounging under. I found several wheaties, a Canadian penny, a modern Jefferson nickel, and two Roosevelt silvers. I was very pleased to see those come out of the ground but I hope to recover a Mercury dime or two next time. I also found a few whatzits including an eagle doorknocker(?) and something that resembles a top. If you guys see anything that you recognize, please fill me in.
