I was up the street digging a pile of old broken bottles. I was hoping to find whole one because the tops were beautiful bitters and bar back bottles. This was attached to one of the tops. It was wrapped on by pewter or lead. It has a small little dish inside that acts like a valve. I tried to research it but I haven't gotten anywhere. Let me know what you all think. I didn't think they had a way to control how much came out of a bottle back then. If that's what this is. From what I can tell it reads WISON D CO. Pat applied for. It should date around 1900 or so. It's amazing that corks can come out looking like new after so long. The little cup inside with the red arrow moves up and down. Thanks for any information!!!
