Funny Little side wrist watch

Anyone recognize this? I’ve heard them called “Drivers Watch” or Typists Watch. Incredible condition. It looks old stock. I thinking 1950s.

The movement is in a box - lots of jewels I can see by lifting it slightly but I cannot ready anything without removing the stem.

Never seen one, but it's very cool, and in terrific condition. Nice find!

Yes it is a drivers watch. The curved case was intended to wear on the side of your wrist not the top. Like in this pic of my drivers watch that way when your hands are on the steering wheel you don’t have to take your hand off the wheel to see the time. I am not familiar with the maker but based on the stainless steel back I suspect it’s a 1940s era generic Swiss watch.

You probably want to because it will be a long long while before you find another. They were not produced in large numbers.

Not likely. They are too small to have any material value. IMO I would estimate only a few hundred at best.
