Garage sale find from last week--old bicycle basket?

Found this last week at a garage sale.....I need help figuring out what it attached to. Maybe a bicycle? or motorcycle? something else?
It has a neat emblem on the front and stylized emblems with reflectors on the sides. Measures 20" x 15 1/2", made of metal with 2 clamps on the back.
