I'va got the Ace 250, and I'm very happy with it for now. Never used or seen up close the F2. The only thing I don't like about the 250 is, it's not water proof, so if it starts to rain, the days over if I forgot the plastic bag to cover the head.

I have a f2. Good machine. The small 4 inch coil hits on small gold. Also great in trashy areas. I have 4 different coils. A 4 inch 6-8-10. I like the 6. Decent depth great seperation. F2 and bounty hunters use same coils as long as its the push in style. Opens up alot for you. And the recovery is super fast on the f2. And pin point is accurate vdi #'s are a plus. Although a jumpy machine. Ive never used a 250. But just upgraded to a mxt. I like the discrimination better on the f2 than my mxt...
