Garrett ADS coil change.

Hay all. I have a Garrett ads 6 master hunter and they later ones came out with a crossfire coil on them. I know that Kellyco had the 7x-10x. I have a crossfire coil i would like to wire to fit my ads 6. Can anyone tell me if it can be done and if so tell me how to wire the coil to work on my ads 6. Thanks ------Plug popper.

I don't think the crossfire coil will work with your ADS 6. If it came with the standard 7.5",the frequency is 5.5.
The crossfire coils are in the 6.5 khz range. The later ADS 5 and ADS 7 metal detectors had crossfire coils on them. So I believe that Garrett did change their frequencies as well to work with the crossfire coils. You might want to contact Garrett directly on this. 1-800-527-4011.
