Garrett AT Pro pointer

i'm having some issues with my new AT Pro pointer.
once in a while when i turn it on the light comes on but it does not detect.
I have to turn it off and then turn it on again. I'm also having trouble with it staying at max.
i have to go through the modes to set it at max sensitivity several times during the hunt.
i thought it might be the battery so i changed it. did not help.

i find myself checking it several time against my shovel or machine just to be sure it is working. Not happy

Are you sure you are not turning it on near some metal? Because if you do, you have detuned it and it might not work very well. When turning it on, hold it above your head and you should be problem free.

I had a friend who bought one and it went crazy once in awhile. Not always. It's like anything you get. Once in awhile you will get a bad one. Try what John suggest and if that doesn't help send it back. Garrett is a great company and will make it right.
