you can put the detector in the trunk of your car and drive to the next hunt without taking off your headset...:

you could store the transmitter in a battery pouch under the cuff support. cut down on snagging...someone did a mod somewhere

OK, but you have the EQX800, so you have the WM-08. Why mess with 2 separate units when you have one built in?

It can be done, that's about all I have to say about it. Now we can get back to using the built-in wireless without the claptrap.

Yup! There are so many things you "CAN" do, but the real questions is "WHY?". Some of the things I've seen people try, and some of the "mods" seem really silly. Just my $.02

I'm with you on that, I feel like some folks have spent more energy on making goofy mods then they likely have using the detector.

Sorry, but to me, wireless = no wires.

Everyone should've followed what White's did on the V3i years ago. After having wireless headphones on my Racers, Impact and Multi Kruzer and now EQ800, I will NEVER buy another detector that doesn't have built-in wireless, it's freedom while your detecting, no more getting tangled up in the brush, no more sending my headphones in to be repaired repeatably because once again the connector or wire has crapped out (sent my Sunrays and Killer B's in 3-4 times each for warranty repairs).

why indeed...why would someone want to go to the moon, what could possibly come from it......(microwave ovens, velcro etc.)...just saying.
