Garrett's Turn For a new coil?

I have noticed that White's and Minelab have come out with new coils. Has anyone heard of Garrett coming out with a new coil. Everything I read about the Minelab SE Pro coil is that is much better than the old coil.

Garrett already did, about 3 years ago. They now have the ProFormance coils, replacing the old crossfire coils. The new ones are built TOUGH and on the 1500/2500 are more stable. The other companies are falling behind, not Garrett.

So the black coil are better than the stock white coil I have with my 2500?

They are built tougher and on the imaging features on the GTI models, they allow the user to run the machine at a higher sensitivity, which often gives a little more depth. The older white coils were very sensitive to banging the coil against a tree. The coil windings were set in foam. The newer ProFormance coils have their coil windings set in a hard resin.
