The rest of the guys nailed it before me (not that I ever expect to beat them!!), but I thought I'd contribute my two cents.

The 7th Cav was involved in the first really large battle of the Vietnam War in 1965. The movie We Were Soldiers, with Mel Gibson starring as the 1/7 commander Hal Moore, tells the story.

As a military history buff with a father who served in Vietnam, I'd happily trade everything I've found to date for the chance to find a pin like this. Great job, and value it as a real piece of modern American history. God bless our troops past and present.
