What kind of Gems are found in SW VA, South of Roanoke? I can find no info that amounts to much on web.

Take a look at what the Division of Geology and Mineral resources has available then concentrate on the localities they list. It also would be helpful to check out local rock and gem clubs, or prospecting clubs near you as their members would be happy to add ya to the crews. Luck
