Brass or Pewter?
Estimated US $2,000.00 - US $3,000.00
This example displays with a smooth, pleasing surface, the loveliest of original light chocolate patinas, and very sharp lettering and devices. It exhibits only the slightest of wear to the convex section bearing the script "GW" in center. The shank is missing, unfortunately, the only negative about this popular GW button design. There is also some soiling on both sides as well as some trivial verdigris, noted for accuracy. All in all a fine copy of Albert WI 4-A. Diameter 34mm.
A Collection of George Washington Inaugural Buttons from the Smithsonian Institute Series. There are a total of Seven With Case. They are Pewter.
