Hello,. Hit up an old house site near a Continental army River crossing. Popped this out thinking it was just a fancy flat button.....Well I guess it is a fancy flat button technically.

Awesome! In great condition. That's a relic high on most of our wish lists! Big congrats!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on a great button

Now that's a great button.

A beauty of a button!

That's about as nice as they come. I would try dry cleaning only to save the patina. I use toothpicks and a chip brush.

Congrats, and welcome to the club.

Sick one! That's my favorite design of them too. Absolutely killer condition too. :occasion14:

Great find. I dug an Eagle with Star variety years ago and didn't even know what a GW Inaugural button was at the time ! Congrats !

I'm with Scrappy, just a gentle dry brush on that thing. It's freakin gorgeous.

I also agree with Argentium, that's a bannerworty button for sure!

Congratulations!

Wow.

A guy around me found one exactly like that and sold to a private buyer for close to $10,000.

What a find, congrats!

Excellent condition with a nice full shank. Phenomenal. :headbang:

Tremendous! Welcome to the GW club.

3rd post in 3 years ! Welcome back with a bang. Are you still huntimg twith the Bounty hunter you found? You are in an old area for sure. Thanks for coming back and sharing it with us.

Beautiful button
Congrats

Incredible detail. Awesome find. A dry toothbrush at the most. Patina is stunning.
