Has anyone here ever heard of a George Washington Spy Button? I'm not sure that there is such a thing. I'm just wondering if it's worth placing a bid on it.

That is cool, i found this button in a camp in Wilson, NC, i know all the ones showing are 1 piece, but this is two piece with Scovill Waterbury back mark... looks very similar and also the thistle button dug in same area. I have also wondered about the design on the 6 pointed star.

My ancestors (2 brothers and the father) were spies for Washington in the New York, New Jersey area.

I'm not that convinced by that one, pretty sure I have a few in my collection. How would you explain that?
