Latest efforts included a German copper coin dated 1903 (lost by Westfronts Great Grand dad :laughing7:). A 18th/19th century buckle in good condition. And a nice full flan Edwardian hammered silver penny. Most hammered silver come up very tarnished. Some though come out of the ground looking like this. The coin as not been cleaned other than a quick rinse under the tap.

Robert.

Nice finds. What do you guys do with your old coins? Sell them or collect them?

I sell the rare ones, and keep the less valuable ones. Getting ready for a clear out though, got a lot of coins.

This copper is a better condition than most of the ones found here. Still take a hammered over a 5 Pfennig! :tongue3:

Fantastic hammered coin. Congrats.

Nice hammered once again, the buckle is a good one also.

Very nice find!

Very cool hammered silver, can you believe it was lost almost 1000 years ago and is still silver colored? I'm officially envious.
