Getting free whites detector Surfmaster PI or silver eagle??

New here
Was looking for some input
I am getting a detector for nothing and I can choice between a whites silver eagle or a Whites surfmaster PI (deep diver).
Both detectors are about 10 years old but the price is right to get started.....
I will be doing all sorts of differnet sights, beachs, parks, old farm houses. What one should I take for a starter machine.
Also if anyone might know what these machines cost when they were new. Just interested.

Silver eagle,hands down.Real good all around detector. That is about the best deal I ever heard of.LOL

I agree with the above post.

The PI water machine is good for salt water but would be a real pain for any other kind of hunting.
