Hi everyone! I spoke with tesoro yesterday and I am going to get my machine back. It's been over a year. Don't get me wrong - they are a very good company, and must be having some problems. The problem I had was the sheathing on the coil wire split open exposing the wire. It split open right below the connector. Tesoro told me that they would put some type of annodized aluminum connector spliced in line and it would work. They said it would not effect the warranty in anyway. What a great company!
Has anybody here received their tiger back with this type of fix? I was just wondering about all the other machines that had a problem with the connector.

Tesoro is a great company that backs their product 100 %. It is very hard to find this type of commitment in todays age.

I don't know the details, but the cable glands they installed are readily available off the shelf from places like Sealcon. The enclosure they used however may be custom made for them, the through holes might have needed some tooling mods but that would not take long. Waterproof connectors are expensive and often custom, but it would not take a that long to source them. Being low volume would make it difficult which I suspect is one problem in sourcing. To go hardwired would not take that long with the cable glands, which is what they ended up doing. Foolproof but any cuts to the wiring or damage, will mean you need to send it back to be fixed.

Reading this makes me think twice about buying a Tesoro now.
