I put some fresh batteries in my MD this morning and headed out to the front yard, man what a differance that full charge made! I found my first dimes, pennies, and my first nickle - a nice old 1964 Jefferson at that. The pennies are 77, 76, 73. To date I had only found two 1996 Quarters, so finding 10 coins in one day made my day. I found the 64 Jeff last and heres the funny thing about it- I was getting a real strong coin signal and dug the 64 at 4", then I covered the hole back up but before I walked away I ran the MD over the filled hole just to make sure I got my target... well dang, I'm still getting that same strong coin signal :o I'm going to finish digging it out in the morning, i'll post what I find. The tri angle thing is an axe handle wedge, and you know the rest!! Thanks for looking

Good for you.
Keep hunting.
The silver will turn up soon.

Yep, and it's better than nails & pull tabs too!

Good on you.

Just like that Calvin & Hobbes cartoon: "There's treasure everywhere!"

Keep on looking! You may never find a civil war buckle or a gold ring dripping with diamonds or 300 year old coin but you just might. You'll never know until you do. The goodies come to those that look for them.

More coins! And you are learning about multiple targets in the same hole, this is good!

The great thing about this hobby is not knowing what the next signal is going to bring you, so we keep searching!

It will continue to get better for you!........Good luck & HH

Congrats, ALWAYS re-scan the hole. Thats a must. Good Luck

Not only should you rescan the hole, but also the dirt before you put it back it. Especially if that is were you get most of your finds (not found in the bottom of the hole). I know 70% of the time I don't see it untill its in the dug pile :-\.

yep its a good idea to recheck. one whole i hit was at first nothing but 2-3 can rings but when i dug down about 4 inches deeper found 3 quaters a dime and 2 pennies (pocket spill?) was deffinitly worth the little extra digging 2 of the quaters were silver!!
