I found my 4th ring with my Ace 250 I got for christmas. BUT NO SILVER COINS YET!!!!!!!!!!
Todays ring is a gold plated wedding band. It was 6 or 7 inches deep and showed up as a dime on the display. I found a pocket knife pretty rusted. a 52-D wheat penny and a 66 canadian penny. lots of clad and doo-dads. I also found a string of 13 (OH NO MR. BILL) pull tabs that were hooked together till I tried to pull them out all at once. A few .223 blank shells, one not fired. That large round lid showed up as a 50 cent piece......Imagine how excited I was for about 3 seconds when I saw the grooved edge all shiny about 6 inches down. DANG IT!!!

I can remember linking pull tabs together like that back in the day. It was your scorecard on how many beers you had consumed.

pretty cool finds!

Congrats on your new MD. Having found 4 rings in that short period is excellent. I am sure by the end of the year you will have a nice little collection. Keep posting them.

4 rings since Christmas..you are doing great. Cool digs. Love the old pocket knife. WTG!!

In seven years of metal detecting I have never found a ring! I guess the type of sites I visit are not conducive to rings.

WTG!

That's awesome DL!! Those are some great finds! I love the knife and the ring too! God, I remember doing the beer tab chains too. My ex-husband and I had our whole apartment strung up.......lots of cuts on the ole fingers too!! ;D Of course, I didn't drink any of those beers! :P

Keep up the good work!

Cool digs! That Ace 250 is a great machine from what I have heard!

cograts on the ring.....since your finding rings silver around the corner.

hh and keep diggin

:) Nice ... I like pop taps.It lets you know people have been there.H.H.

There are more rings in the ground around here than silver coins. My last dollar size dig was a nice brass token from an oil company, so you gotta dig them even if you don't have much faith. Good work. Monty

;D LOL Love the picture with the tabs all linked!!

And what great finds! Congrats ;D

Bogart :D
