Marfa Lights near Marfa, TX. The state has even made a highway pull-off and built guest viewing areas to see the lights at night. I think the real reason for the pull-off was for safety of the numerous people visiting that location. Not every night is good for seeing the shimmering points of light. I did not see them the last time I was there. Once before I saw what I felt were car headlights far in the distance. However the tale of the shimmering lights predates automobiles. So, I don't know what to make of that fact.

They did actually debunk that one. It is a play on car headlights. The info prefacing cars was found out to be hear say and word of mouth. They absolutely replicated the lights. I keep an eye on a few skeptic groups that go around scientifically proving / disproving a lot of this type of stuff. I find it absolutely fascinating. Thanks for mentioning.
