Girlfriends first find!

Went out today with my girlfriend who recently has become interested in metal detecting. Maybe shes thinking i you cant beat em, join em. Dunno. Anyway we chose a late 1800's home site as her second hunt. Unfortunately it was inhabited well into 20th century. Lotsa trash. But we managed a few modern coins, junk, etc. i did manage to find a 1917 wheat, but she made the find of the day with a 1906 IH penny. All in all a great way to spend a couple hours.

Please let her know I've detected for 3 years without digging Indian head, despite my son digging them just a few yards away from me! Love how the good stuff appears when we least expect it rather than when we sometimes get obsessed with digging a certain goal, lol. Both of you will enjoy many more good surprises at that junky site! Both my gold rings were dug amid lots of junk that others had shied away from. Andi
